Privacy Policy
This policy describes the actual setup of this website and of our email communication. It does not name services that are not in use.

2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Hostpoint AG in Switzerland. As part of technical operation, the hosting provider may process server log data, in particular:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- resource requested
- status information of the request
- browser and user agent
- referrer, where transmitted
This data serves secure operation, error analysis, attack detection and technical statistics. It is not evaluated for marketing purposes.
3. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide in order to handle your enquiry. It is not used for other purposes. Our email communication runs on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online). Microsoft processes the data on our behalf.
4. Forms on this website
There are four forms on aions.ch: free check, request access, order readiness report and get in touch. The controller is Aions, einfache Gesellschaft (simple partnership under Swiss law) of Alexander Eckstein and Nima Safai Rad (contact details: see Imprint).
What data we process

Checking your website for the free check and the readiness report
We fetch the domain you give us using the user agents of AI crawlers and search engines and evaluate only publicly accessible content. We do not log in, fill in forms or trigger orders. Please only enter domains for which you are entitled to have such a check carried out.
For the evaluation, we transfer publicly accessible content of the checked website to providers of language models (currently Anthropic and, via OpenRouter, OpenAI). We fetch selected pages through Anthropic's infrastructure. Data is therefore also processed outside Switzerland, in the EU and in the USA. We store the raw data of the audit (fetched pages and the responses under each user agent) with a provider in Switzerland or the EU: for the free check for 12 months, for the readiness report for 24 months after the audit, so that it can be compared with a later audit. Public content may contain personal data, such as names in the legal notice.
Who receives the data
- Hostpoint AG, Switzerland: hosting of the website and sending the form data by email.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365): the mailbox in which requests arrive. Emails are stored in Switzerland. Microsoft's spam filter may also process emails in the EU or the EEA, which in the assessment of the Swiss Federal Council provide adequate data protection.
- Providers of language models (currently Anthropic and, via OpenRouter, OpenAI): evaluation of public content of the checked website for the free check and the readiness report; processing also in the USA.
The forms do not store any personal data on our server. Your details are only sent to us by email.
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on to third parties for advertising.
How long we keep the data
- Free check and order readiness report: 12 months after the last communication, unless an order is placed. In that case the statutory retention periods for business records apply (10 years).
- Request access: until the platform has been activated for you or until you unsubscribe, for no more than 24 months.
- Get in touch: 12 months after the last communication.
- Sign-up for publications: until you unsubscribe.
Unless stated otherwise above, we keep enquiries submitted via the forms for up to 12 months after the enquiry is closed, and data from a contract for its duration. Accounting records are kept for 10 years, as required by law.

5. Cookies
This website sets no tracking cookies and no cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. No cookies requiring consent are used.
6. Web analytics
Aions currently uses no additional personal web analytics or advertising tracking services such as Google Analytics. Should that change, this policy will be updated beforehand.
7. Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console for technical analysis of how this site is found in Google Search. It works with data arising at Google within search itself and requires no additional tracking code for visitors to this website.
8. Disclosure and transfers abroad
We disclose personal data only to the service providers named in this privacy policy: Hostpoint AG for hosting this website, Microsoft for email communication and, for checking websites in the free check and the readiness report, providers of language models and a provider in Switzerland or the EU for storing the audit data (section 4).
Emails at Microsoft are stored in Switzerland. Microsoft's spam filter may also process emails in the EU or the EEA, which in the assessment of the Swiss Federal Council provide adequate data protection. When websites are checked, data is also processed in the USA. We base this disclosure on the providers' certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, where this is lacking, on the providers' standard contractual clauses.
9. Retention
Server logs are retained within the technical periods provided by the hosting provider. Contact correspondence is retained for as long as it is required to handle the matter and document the business relationship. For details submitted through the forms, the periods in section 4 apply.
10. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law you can at any time request information about your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Further statutory rights remain reserved. An email to info@aions.ch is sufficient.
